FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION

The Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) is responsible for protecting the consumer.

  1. Made in USA – The FTC requires that a product advertised as “Made in USA” be “all or virtually all” made in the United States. The “all or virtually all” requirement means that all significant parts and processing of the product must be of United States origin. The product should contain no or negligible foreign content. Our firm assists in determining whether or not your product qualifies as “Made in USA.”
  2. Textile and Wool Act – Federal labeling requirements for textile and wool products are enforced by the FTC. The FTC requires that most of these products have a label listing the fiber content, country of origin and identity of the manufacturer (or another business responsible for marketing or handling the item). Our firm assists with FTC labeling compliance and whether your product is required to be labeled.
